Guide
How it works, start to finish.
Everything you need to launch and run your affiliate program. For what's new, see the release notes.
Activation
1. Sign upwith your billing details and pick the tier matching your last-12-months revenue (it's provisional: the module reads the real figure and the fee adjusts — upwards right away, downwards at renewal). 2. Complete the payment: your account activates and you get a confirmation email. 3. From the client areadownload the module for your platform and copy your store's API key.
Prefer us to install it? Guided onboarding is included: write to support@i-creativi.com.
Installing on PrestaShop (1.7–9)
Back office → Modules → Module Manager → Upload a module → select the ZIP from the client area → Install. Open Configure and paste the platform URL (https://affiliatetracker.it) and your API key — the module verifies the connection on save. Finally set the cron: copy the URL shown in the settings and schedule it every 5–10 minutes (hosting cron or a service like cron-job.org). The cron issues queued COIN discounts, reconciles orders and reports revenue.
From then on: affiliates apply from your store's customer area("Become an affiliate"), and you manage them from the AffiliateTracker tab in the back office (approvals, rates, statistics, orders, CSV export).
Installing on WooCommerce
wp-admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → ZIP from the client area → Activate. Then WooCommerce → AffiliateTracker: paste platform URL and API key. The cron uses WP-Cron and is automatic (hourly). Affiliates find "Affiliate program" in My Account; you manage everything from the AffiliateTracker page in wp-admin.
Program settings
From the client area, Program settings panel:
- Currency: name (e.g. POINTS), earn rate per € of products, conversion value and minimum threshold for a discount.
- Commissions: calculation base (order total or products only), shipping in or out, exclusion of already-discounted products, min/max.
- Discount codes: validity days and single-use.
- Notifications: emails for new applications (to you), new commissions (to the affiliate) and the monthly affiliate report.
Commissions follow the order status on their own: born pending, they become approved on payment/delivery and cancelled on refunds — COIN included, which get reversed.
Dual-track: first order or all
First order only (default): a referred customer generates a single commission, on their first purchase. All orders: at the first purchase the customer is bound to the affiliate and every future order earns a commission — even with an expired cookie or from another device, as long as they sign in to their account. The bond is created by the first tracked order and never changes (first affiliate wins).
Levels
Reward top performers: create levels (e.g. "Gold from 10 orders") in the Levels panel. For influencers a level can set a dedicated percentage; for customers a COIN multiplier (e.g. ×2). Level-ups are automatic based on orders brought, and affiliates see their badge in the dashboard.
Campaign links
Every affiliate can create multiple named links ("Instagram bio", "Newsletter"…) from their dashboard and see clicks per channel: same code, separate sources.
Manual adjustments
One-off bonuses, corrections, off-program rewards: write to support@i-creativi.com with affiliate, amount (€ or COIN, negative too) and reason — we apply the adjustment with an audit note.
Switching e-commerce platform
Your program lives in the platform, not in the store: moving e.g. from PrestaShop to WooCommerce (or, soon, Shopify) means connecting the new store to your account, installing the connector and switching off the old one. Kept intact: affiliates and codes, COIN balances, commission history, levels and settings. Worth knowing: affiliate links must point to the new domain (codes don't change), already-issued discount codes stay in the old store, and dual-track customer bonds rebuild at the first order on the new store. We handle the migration with you — it's included.
FAQ
An order wasn't tracked: why?
Typical causes: expired cookie (attribution window passed), customer didn't come through the link, or "first order only" mode with an already-attributed customer. If the platform was temporarily unreachable, the module recovers on its own: attributed orders are re-sent by the cron.
What happens if I refund an order?
The commission turns "cancelled" automatically and any COIN are reversed.
How do I pay, and where are my invoices?
Monthly card billing (Stripe). From the client area, "Manage subscription & invoices" opens the portal with invoices, payment method and cancellation. Prices are VAT-exclusive, tax is calculated automatically.
How do I pay my affiliates?
Customer-affiliates reward themselves through COIN discounts. Influencers accrue a € balance: the payout (bank transfer, PayPal…) is between you and them — the platform gives you the exact statement, CSV included.
I forgot my client-area password
On the sign-in page, "Forgot password?": you'll get a one-hour link by email.
